WXTide32 is a truly excellent free worldwide (except for the UK) tidal prediction program
(Mike Hopper writes, "In 2001 the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) notified me that the Crown claimed copyright ownership of all tidal products for England, Ireland and Scotland. It appears when the International Hydrographic Office (IHO) disbanded in 1999, control of tidal data reverted to individual countries and blanket IHO approval was rescinded. After several exchanges with UKHO, I decided to discontinue including tide predications for the disputed areas. UKHO offered to license their data for use in the program but with a recurring fee. WXTide32 has always been distributed free of any charge and was never intended to be a commercial endeavor. With no wish to change avocation into vocation, I declined the license").
